On behalf of owner Rabo Real Estate Group, Molsbergen Development was responsible for the formation of the management contract of the nhow hotel, a 4-star lifestyle hotel with architecture and art as its themes in De Rotterdam building. One of the reasons that nhow Rotterdam, part of NH Hoteles, is unique is the interior design: the first hotel designed by OMA/Rem Koolhaas. The design won the ‘Best Hotel Design’ award in 2014.

In order to sell De Rotterdam, in 2016 we converted the management agreement with nhow into a lease.
On its completion in 2013 the hotel had 278 hotel rooms and suites and around 1,000 m2 of conference and event facilities. The conference space was in fact doubled as early as 2016, thanks to expert asset management combined with a professional team on the part of the operator. This extension was also designed by OMA. This is the result of a successful operation in an iconic building at a splendid location! De Rotterdam and the nhow hotel have rightly contributed to the city’s growing international appeal and are listed in almost all rankings as a ‘must see’ when visiting Rotterdam; New York Times: 52 Places to Go in 2014, Lonely Planet, Rough Guide 2014: Top 10 Cities, Themost10.com: 10 Most Glamorous Buildings of the World, International Magazine Travel+Leisure: ‘a must-visit city for 2015’.
